The Role

We are hiring a Senior Front End Engineer to help us build world-class front-end applications that enable our customers to operate more efficiently and effectively. You will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, clean, and testable Angular applications.

The technical details

Our front-end tech stack is focused on Angular, with Typescript, HTML5, CSS3, and Ionic/Capacitor for mobile applications.

Products you may work on include:

• SuiteSpot Mobile App: Our iOS and Android app used by field staff to service hundreds of thousands of apartments across North America.
• SuiteSpot Web Platform: Angular-based web applications designed to manage the SuiteSpot platform, in collaboration with backend teams who develop microservices using Node.js, Express, and NestJS, deployed on AWS with Docker.

What you will do:

• Code. You will develop scalable, clean and testable Angular applications. You will update and modernize existing UIs to improve performance, usability, and aesthetics. You will balance technical debt, third-party tools, and custom solutions to optimize delivery and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate. You will contribute to framework and architectural decisions to ensure the long-term scalability and maintainability of our applications. You will work with product managers, designers, and backend developers to ensure seamless integration and an excellent user experience.
• Test. You will rapidly create and test prototypes to validate ideas and features. You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve our engineering practices.
• Share and grow knowledge. You will pursue technical excellence and best practices within the team. You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.

What you bring:

• Technical expertise: You have participated in all aspects of product design, development, and testing in a B2B client-focused environment. You have a solid understanding of responsive design principles and building user-friendly, visually appealing products. You have a deep understanding of HTML5. CSS3, Angular frameworks, TypeScript, and other modern front-end technologies. You can rapidly learn new tools and approaches and may have exposure to mobile app development tools, including Ionic and Capacitor. You are comfortable documenting, reviewing code, debugging, and conducting user testing.
• The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills and can translate complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience. You thrive in a collaborative environment and work efficiently across teams in person and remotely. You take ownership of your deliverables, quickly adapt when priorities shift, and take feedback well.
• The growth mindset. You are naturally curious and open to learning from others and independently. You acknowledge your mistakes and can adapt to setbacks. You are comfortable with ambiguity and willing to figure things out when no clear path or process is outlined. You are passionate about staying current with the latest tools and best practices.

Hiring process

We aim to move quickly and respect your time. The process has four stages:

• Initial conversation with a Talent Advisor / Hiring Manager
• Technical Screening Assessment
• System Design with Engineering leadership
• Final conversation with our CTO
