International Student Counsellor (Vietnamese)

Job Responsibility:

International Center for EAP (ICEAP) is an English Lanaguge school partnered with 18 Canadian universities and Colleges. ICEAP has two campuses in Toronto and London Ontario. ICEAP provides EAP programs to international students mainly from Asia who has been conditionally accepted by universities and collegse, but lack of English language profeciency. We currently looking for a International Student Counsellor to provide services to international students from Vietnam.

Job Duties:

· Follow all ICEAP Policies and Procedures.

· Effectively assist with new student registration and settlement services.

· Conduct and maintain international student school records and track progress.

· Educate students on academic policies, procedures, and resources available.

· Provide guidance and support to students on academic matters.

· Participate in extra- curricular and/or community based ICEAP projects when directed to so do.

· Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.

· Attend general staff meetings.

· Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

· The working hours of this position are flexible and based on assigned duties Scheduled working hours made as work requires. Working in weekend is possible.

· International Student Advisor will be expected to travel between campuses in the Greater Toronto Area and may be required to travel to London ICEAP campuses.

Employment Requirements:

· A bachelor 's degree or diploma in education or a related field is preferred

· Working experience in Canadian school or Vietnamese school is preferred.

· Strong computer skills.

· Able to use a variety of electronic and physical documents/assessment tools.

· Fluent written and spoken English, Vietnamese.

· Punctual, meticulous, and reliable.

· Courteous manners with students and the public.

· Provision of a Criminal Record Check within two weeks of hire date.

· Signature of ICEAP image release waive, liability waiver, and confidentiality policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
