Join Finning as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, where you'll focus on diagnosing and maintaining CAT machinery in PrinceGeorge. Deliver excellent customer service while maximizing the value of your repairs. This role centers on troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment in a shop setting, especially within forestry, construction, and mining sectors.
Candidates should have a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification and expertise in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Emissions systems. You will work on a 7x7 shift and must be prepared for possible respirator use during tasks.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair CAT equipment efficiently
Respond to customer needs in a supportive manner
Use testing equipment for accurate fault diagnosis
Ensure adherence to safety standards in the workplace
Provide general repair and rebuilding support
Requirements Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Red Seal preferred)
Valid Clean Drivers Abstract (5yr)
Extensive experience with electrical systems
Background in construction machinery preferred
Willingness to work in a unionized workplace
