Are you just as comfortable chatting up a walk-in customer as you are picking up the phone and cold calling a business that doesn’t know it needs you yet?

We’re looking for a Sales Associate to work our floor and work the phones — helping everyday customers find the right tech and helping local businesses see what better IT can do for them. One minute you’re explaining the difference between dual monitors to someone who just wants Netflix to work; the next you’re building a quote for a multi-workstation office refresh. Small sale, big sale, repeat customer, cold lead — you handle it all, and you’re good with people every step of the way.

This isn’t a script-reading, quota-shouting kind of sales job. We’re a small, close-knit team who actually likes coming to work, and we’d like you to feel the same way.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Sales Associate performs a wide range of duties, including some or all the following:

Floor & Retail Sales

• Greet and assist walk-in customers, understanding their needs and recommending the right products or services.
• Explain technical products and services in plain, friendly language — no jargon required.
• Process sales, quotes, and special orders accurately using our point-of-sale system.
• Keep the sales floor organized, stocked, and presentable.
• Stay current on new products, promotions, and pricing.

Outbound & Business Sales

• Make outbound sales calls to prospective residential and business customers, both warm leads and cold outreach.
• Build and maintain relationships with local business clients, identifying opportunities for larger deals (hardware refreshes, network upgrades, managed IT services, etc.).
• Prepare quotes and proposals for both small purchases and larger, multi-item or multi-service deals.
• Follow up with leads and past customers to close sales and encourage repeat business.
• Track leads, calls, and sales activity in our Quote Manager and Autotask ticketing software.

General

• Collaborate with our technicians and support staff to make sure customers get the right solution, not just a sale.
• Represent the company professionally, in person, on the phone, and in writing.
• Any other sales-related duties as needed by the team.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• Experience in retail, sales, or customer service is an asset.
• An interest in technology — you don’t need to be an expert, but you should be curious.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Comfortable initiating conversations with strangers, whether in person or over the phone.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, friendly, non-condescending way.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort learning new software (POS, CRM, quoting tools).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good with numbers — comfortable building quotes and handling transactions accurately.

Other Requirements

• Must be available to work Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
• Have a valid BC driver’s license

Working Conditions

• The work is primarily in-store, on the sales floor and at a desk for calls and quotes.
• Some local travel may be required for on-site business visits or events.
• The schedule generally follows retail hours, which may include some evenings and weekends.
