SAP Specialist

Our client, a leading gold producer, is seeking an experienced SAP Support Specialist to support Supply Chain operations across a major remote mining project portfolio.

This role will serve as the primary SAP resource for the Supply Chain team, providing both technical and functional support across SAP S/4HANA and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining system performance, supporting end users, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance across the operation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong SAP EWM expertise, a solid understanding of MM processes, and experience supporting procurement, inventory management, and reporting functions within industrial or mining environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for SAP-related support issues and system enhancements.
• Coordinate with IT teams and external partners to troubleshoot issues and implement system updates.
• Design, develop, and maintain SAP reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools.
• Support operational reporting, compliance monitoring, inventory management, and procurement activities.
• Translate business requirements into SAP functional specifications and system improvement initiatives.
• Support integration of third‑party applications and process automation opportunities.
• Manage SAP user access, security profiles, and audit compliance documentation.
• Ensure data accuracy and support SOX and internal audit requirements.
• Deliver SAP onboarding, training sessions, user support, and refresher workshops.
• Assist with financial reporting, cost tracking, budget analysis, and SAP-related reporting initiatives.
• Travel occasionally to operational sites including Goose Mine, the Marine Laydown Area (MLA), and other project locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of SAP support, system administration, or functional analyst experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) including procurement and inventory management processes.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, SAP reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of audit controls, compliance requirements, user security, and SOX processes.
• Experience supporting supply chain, warehousing, inventory, procurement, and logistics operations.
• Knowledge of SAP PM and/or FICO modules considered an asset.
• Experience within mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial, or remote operational environments preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and end‑user support capabilities.
