Addictions Treatment Service (Pembroke site – at MESA Hart Hub)

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa. The Addictions Treatment Service (ATS) of RVH is seeking a temporary full time Social Worker with experience treating mental health and substance use disorders. This is a contract position located on-site at the MESA Hart Hub, expected to last until March 2027, with possibility of extension. Your role would be to support and connect people to a range of comprehensive treatment and recovery services, in a collaborative network delivering services tailored to local needs.

You will provide therapeutic interventions and addiction/harm reduction supports to patients, based on evidence-based practiced, using a client-centred approach.

This is an in-person (on site) position located in Pembroke.
Pay Grid: $43.89/hour

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills/Experience
● Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (Master’s Degree of Social Work an asset).
● Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) is required
● Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a related position preferred
● Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
● Experience providing a range of evidence-based interventions, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing
● Knowledge and experience in substance use and harm reduction
● Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred
● A satisfactory and current Vulnerable Sector Screening check
● Valid First Aid & CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
● Must hold a valid driver’s license for travel within the region when required
