Process Mechanical Engineer Water Treatment

Lead water treatment process design with Stantec as an Intermediate Process Mechanical Engineer based in Edmonton or Red Deer, Alberta.As part of Stantec’s Water group, you will work across industrial, innovative, and challenging water and wastewater treatment projects. Your work includes process definition, alternative evaluation, treatment design, equipment sizing, and process piping calculations. The team collaborates with clients and technical specialists to develop effective project solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Develop water and wastewater process design solutionsEvaluate alternatives, treatability testing, and process definitionsDevelop hydraulic calculations for process pipingWork with clients on characterization and design basesCoordinate communication across engineering design disciplinesRequirements:
Five years’ experience in treatment or conveyance projectsDegree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineeringAPEGA registration or eligibility for registrationProficiency using engineering design softwareStrong client relations, communication, and mentoring skillsBring water treatment process design, client collaboration, and hydraulic calculation experience to Stantec’s Alberta Water group.
