Senior Detection Engineering Developer

Design scalable KQL detections for Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR in PSP Investments’ hybrid Montreal SOC, supporting global threat defense.As a Senior Developer, Threat Defense and Detection Engineering, you will translate intelligence, hunting, response, and testing recommendations into production security use cases. You will work with hunters, responders, platform teams, and PSP’s managed security service provider. The role combines Python, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, MITRE ATT&CK, and enterprise telemetry engineering across cloud and corporate environments.Key Responsibilities:
Design scalable KQL detection logic for Sentinel and Defender XDRImplement EDR, XDR, and network preventive controlsTest, document, and release detections through Azure DevOpsSupport production detections, automations, and incident responseGuide analysts on KQL and detection engineering standardsRequirements:
Five years of hands-on cybersecurity experience minimumAdvanced KQL skills for detection and hunting queriesEnterprise Microsoft Sentinel experience with rules and playbooksPython, PowerShell, Git, code review, and CI/CD practiceBachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experienceApply your detection engineering, KQL, and Microsoft security expertise to strengthen PSP Investments’ global cyber defense capabilities.
