Senior sap mm functional consultant (Calgary)

Our client, a leading organization in the industry sector, is seeking a SAP MM Functional Consultant to join their team. As a SAP MM Functional Consultant, you will be part of the IT department supporting procurement and inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: SAP MM Functional Consultant
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Work Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week
Contract Duration: 6 months + Extension
Responsibilities Lead and support SAP MM-related activities within the S/4 HANA environment, focusing on procurement lifecycle management from purchase requisition to invoice processing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to optimize inventory management and valuation processes.
Analyze business requirements, configure SAP MM modules, and support system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to SAP MM, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of SAP solutions, including end-to-end procurement workflows and integration points with other modules.
Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA MM, including procurement lifecycle management and inventory valuation.
Strong understanding of integration points between MM and other SAP modules such as FI and SD, including familiarity with IDocs, APIs, and RFCs.
Proven ability to analyze business processes, configure SAP MM modules, and support system enhancements.
Experience in test planning, defect tracking, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
Exposure to SAP Fieldglass, external workforce management tools, or middleware-based integrations is considered an asset but not mandatory.
