Pediatrician with Academic Focus

Step into a vital role as a Pediatrician at CHEO, focusing on patient care, academic engagement, and collaboration. This position offers a chance to impact pediatric medicine positively. The University of Ottawa and CHEO are searching for three General Pediatricians to join the Division of Pediatric Medicine. Qualified candidates will be Royal College certified and demonstrate a strong interest in education and research. Responsibilities encompass patient assessments, interdisciplinary teamwork, and supporting pediatric education. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assessments and admissions for pediatric patients
• Carry out consultations in partnership with healthcare teams
• Conduct daily patient evaluations post-admission
• Educate learners and engage in academic projects
• Assist in clinical transitions for ICU and NICU patients

Requirements:

• MD eligible for licensing in Ontario
• Certification from the Royal College or equivalent
• Commitment to research and education in pediatrics
• Fluency in English; French language skills advantageous
• Preference given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
