Facility Technician

(Part Time)
- Operate, inspect, and maintain pool mechanical systems and water quality.
- Ensure all aquatic systems comply with health regulations and municipal policies.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on facility components.
- Assist with operational and maintenance duties at other municipal buildings and civic facilities as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in pool operations, facility maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience working with aquatic systems and facility maintenance preferred.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
- WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid (or equivalent).
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Pool Operator - Level 1 (Level 2 preferred).
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
Pay and benefits for this bargaining unit position will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement, CUPE Local 458. The 2025 post-probationary wage rate for this position is $32.31/hour. This part-time position may also include extended health benefits and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP), in accordance with the policies of the benefits provider and the MPP.
