We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. We need talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to doing what’s right for our clients. At CIBC, we embrace your strengths and your ambitions, so you are empowered at work. Our team members have what they need to make a meaningful impact and are truly valued for who they are and what they contribute.
What you’ll be doing
Global Operational Risk Management (GORM) provides enterprise‑wide oversight of operational risk at CIBC, setting the direction through frameworks, policies, and processes that ensure effective risk identification, mitigation, and reporting. Within GORM, the Advanced Analytics and Solutions Team drives innovation by developing data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions that enhance risk management capabilities. As Director, Advanced Analytics, you will lead teams responsible for delivering advanced analytics, dashboards, automation, and artificial intelligence tools that improve operational risk insights and efficiency. You will oversee multiple initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business needs, regulatory standards, and governance requirements. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you will help shape solution strategies, communicate insights, and deliver products that support critical risk management programs. Additionally, you will mentor team members and translate GORM’s AI strategy into practical, scalable solutions for risk professionals across the organization.

- Strengthen operational risk insight – Ensure analytics products support meaningful insight across GORM programs such as Change Initiative Risk Assessments, Risk and Control Self‑Assessments, controls, deficiencies, key risk indicators, reporting and operational risk capital.
- Communicate insights and technical concepts clearly – Present dashboard insights, analytical outputs, model results and solution recommendations to operational risk stakeholders. Explain technical concepts in clear business language and respond effectively to questions, risks and implementation considerations.
