Live-Out or Live-In PSW (Personal Support Worker) Needed for Senior Care - 7 days a week

Are you compassionate, dedicated, and ready to make a difference in someone's life? We are seeking a reliable and caring Live-Out or Live-In Personal Support Worker (PSW) to assist in the daily care of a senior citizen who has had a stroke and is wheelchair bound. She is able to communicate and eat on her own, but is a one-person assist for all transfers from the wheelchair, toilet, and bed. She can mobilize independently on her wheelchair for short distances. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience in senior care. Position: Live-Out or Live-In Personal Support Worker Location: Toronto (Bloor and Bathurst) Start Date: August 24, 2026 This position requires split shifts over 7 days with three mandatory shifts per day. (For example: 1.5 hrs morning bathing/toileting/getting ready for the day, 2 hr afternoon for toileting and exercises, 1 hrs for bedtime; 9 hours per week are more flexible). Somewhat flexible on timing. Can help to find extra work in the neighbourhood if desired. Can accommodate for personal commitments, such as church visits, etc. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Mobility Assistance: Help with transfers, and ensuring safety during movement. Medication Management: Ensure medication is taken as prescribed Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in stimulating activities, and promote mental and emotional well-being. Will take the client out of the house for visits and appointments. Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and comfortable living space for the client (her bedroom and washroom). Qualifications: Experience: Prior experience in senior care, particularly with stroke patients, is preferred. Training: PSW certification or equivalent experience; CPR/First Aid training and Vulnerable sector Police Background check is mandatory. Skills: Patience, empathy, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Availability: Must be available to work 7 days a week, three times per day.
