Geotechnical Engineering Field Manager Calgary

Lead impactful geotechnical projects with CPKC as a Field Manager in Calgary, Alberta. Ensure safety and efficiency in railway infrastructure while managing complex engineering tasks.
CPKC, the first transnational railroad in North America, is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Field Manager in Calgary or Toronto. This full-time position focuses on leading geotechnical projects to enhance railway safety and infrastructure. You will engage with cross-functional teams, manage emergency responses, and develop budgets while traveling extensively across CPKC’s network.
Key Responsibilities: - Respond to geohazards with engineered solutions - Manage contracts for soil and rock slope stabilization - Oversee and execute tunnel inspections - Conduct annual rock slope assessments - Provide 24/7 on-call support for operations
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering - Minimum E.I.T designation, professional designation preferred - Valid driver’s license and passport for travel - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Strong communication and multitasking abilities
