Are you an experienced Project Estimator who thrives on accuracy, strategic thinking, and winning projects? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who enjoys analyzing project opportunities, collaborating with operations teams, and contributing directly to the successful execution of construction projects.
As a key member of our estimating team, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project specifications, managing bid submissions, and supporting project planning from concept through award.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements and potential risks.
- Utilize Bluebeam and Accubid/Trimble estimating software to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations Teams, and Stakeholders to understand project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Conduct market research to stay informed of pricing trends, labor rates, and material costs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors and subcontractors to maximize project profitability.
- Prepare bid packages and ensure compliance with client specifications and tender requirements.
- Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning activities.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, contracts, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in bid review meetings and provide recommendations regarding project opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, Project Estimator, or similar estimating role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Accubid/Trimble estimating software.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience collaborating with project management and operations teams.
