About the Role

The Performance team is the engine powering KOHO's user acquisition across Canada. With a "User First" approach and a growth ownership mindset, they ensure KOHO is the go-to choice for Canadians seeking a smart, subscription-based alternative to traditional banking.

Each team member owns a key piece of the growth ecosystem and uses a blend of creativity, data, and experimentation to drive long-term customer value and brand growth.

You'll own a significant share of KOHO's paid media budget across both proven and emerging channels. That means scaling what works, building what doesn't exist yet, and being comfortable with the ambiguity that comes with both. You're not waiting for a playbook - you're writing it.

With at least 5 years of experience (ideally in high-growth startups), you're looking to bring deep channel expertise and a builder's mindset to a product company that values curiosity, speed, and real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and scale user acquisition campaigns across paid media - including Meta, TikTok, Applovin, CTV, and programmatic channels.

  • Own the buildout of KOHO's mid-funnel strategy, scaling CTV and programmatic as measurable growth levers with clear measurement frameworks.

  • Build and experiment with AI-powered workflows to improve bidding, creative iteration, and campaign optimization. You're not just using tools - you're assembling them into systems.

  • Formulate and execute acquisition strategies that optimize for CAC and maximize LTV, with emphasis on subscription conversion and retention-driven growth.

  • Continuously test creative (copy + visuals) through structured experiments. Brief the internal design team directly, and iterate based on performance data and audience behaviour.

  • Maintain performance reporting dashboards. Present insights across KPIs including CPA, ROAS, conversion rates, retention, and LTV.

  • Work closely with product and data teams to align acquisition with downstream conversion funnels and predictive LTV modelling.

  • Identify and pilot emerging platforms and inventory sources. Be the team's first mover on what's next.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, ideally within high-growth startups.

  • Proven track record managing multi-channel campaigns at scale across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads.

  • Hands-on experience with CTV and/or programmatic buying - including working with DSPs, managing inventory strategy, and building measurement approaches for harder-to-attribute channels.

  • Deep understanding of adtech infrastructure, marketing analytics, attribution models, and customer lifecycle optimization. Experience with MMPs (Singular) is a plus.

  • Experience building campaigns that go beyond install - with focus on subscription sign-ups, upgrades, and churn mitigation.

  • A builder's relationship with AI tools - you've used them to speed up your work and you're actively experimenting with what's possible. Prompt engineering, workflow automation, creative tooling, and beyond.

  • Comfort working directly with creative and design teams to brief, test, and iterate on ad concepts. Hands on experience with Claude Cowork and/or Claude Code is a plus.

  • Mobile app growth experience is highly desirable; fluency in French is a major plus.

What the Role Isn't

This isn't a plug-and-play media buying role. If you want a stable of mature channels and a fixed playbook, this won't be the right fit. You'll be building new muscle for the team - particularly in mid-funnel and AI-driven experimentation - while also running the channels that already drive growth.

The budgeted salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000 CAD / year.

Cela signifie faire évoluer ce qui fonctionne, bâtir ce qui n’existe pas encore et être à l’aise avec l’ambiguïté qui accompagne ces deux réalités. Vous n’attendez pas qu’on vous remette un plan de match - vous le créez.

Avec au moins cinq ans d’expérience (idéalement au sein d’entreprises en forte croissance), vous souhaitez mettre à profit votre expertise approfondie des canaux d’acquisition et votre esprit entrepreneurial dans une entreprise axée sur les produits qui valorise la curiosité, la rapidité d’exécution et l’impact concret.

Principales responsabilités

  • Concevoir, gérer et faire évoluer des campagnes d’acquisition d’utilisateurs sur différents médias payants, notamment Meta, TikTok, Applovin, la télévision connectée (CTV) et les canaux programmatiques.

  • Développer et faire croître la stratégie de milieu d’entonnoir (mid-funnel) de KOHO, en faisant de la CTV et du programmatique des leviers de croissance mesurables grâce à des cadres d’analyse clairs.

  • Créer et expérimenter des flux de travail propulsés par l’intelligence artificielle afin d’améliorer les enchères, l’itération créative et l’optimisation des campagnes. Vous ne faites pas qu’utiliser des outils - vous les assemblez en systèmes.

  • Élaborer et exécuter des stratégies d’acquisition visant à optimiser le coût d’acquisition client (CAC) et à maximiser la valeur à vie du client (LTV), avec un accent particulier sur la conversion aux abonnements et la rétention.

  • Tester en continu les créations publicitaires (textes et visuels) au moyen d’expériences structurées. Collaborer directement avec l’équipe de design interne pour préparer les briefs et ajuster les concepts en fonction des données de performance et du comportement des audiences.

  • Maintenir les tableaux de bord de performance et présenter des analyses portant sur les principaux indicateurs de performance, notamment le CPA, le ROAS, les taux de conversion, la rétention et la LTV.

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes Produit et Données afin d’aligner les stratégies d’acquisition sur les parcours de conversion en aval et les modèles prédictifs de valeur à vie.

  • Identifier, tester et lancer de nouvelles plateformes et sources d’inventaire publicitaire. Être la personne qui ouvre la voie aux prochaines opportunités de croissance.

Ce que vous apporterez

  • Plus de cinq ans d’expérience en marketing de performance, idéalement dans des entreprises en forte croissance.

  • Expérience démontrée dans la gestion de campagnes multicanales à grande échelle sur Meta, Google, TikTok et Apple Search Ads.

  • Expérience pratique en achat média sur la télévision connectée (CTV) et/ou les plateformes programmatiques, y compris l’utilisation de DSP, la gestion des stratégies d’inventaire et la mise en place de méthodologies de mesure pour les canaux plus difficiles à attribuer.

  • Excellente compréhension de l’infrastructure publicitaire (adtech), de l’analytique marketing, des modèles d’attribution et de l’optimisation du cycle de vie client. Une expérience avec les plateformes MMP (comme Singular) constitue un atout.

  • Expérience dans la création de campagnes allant au-delà de l’installation d’applications, avec un accent sur les abonnements, les mises à niveau et la réduction du taux de désabonnement.

  • Une approche de bâtisseur face aux outils d’IA : vous les utilisez pour accélérer votre travail et vous expérimentez activement de nouvelles possibilités, notamment en ingénierie de requêtes (prompt engineering), automatisation des flux de travail, outils créatifs et plus encore.

  • Aisance à travailler directement avec les équipes créatives et de design afin de préparer des briefs, tester des concepts publicitaires et les optimiser. Une expérience avec Claude Cowork et/ou Claude Code constitue un atout.

  • Une expérience en croissance d’applications mobiles est fortement souhaitée; la maîtrise du français représente un atout majeur.

Ce que ce poste n’est pas

Il ne s’agit pas d’un simple poste d’achat média clé en main. Si vous recherchez un portefeuille de canaux matures accompagné d’un guide d’exécution déjà établi, ce rôle ne vous conviendra probablement pas. Vous contribuerez à développer de nouvelles capacités pour l’équipe - particulièrement en matière de stratégies de milieu d’entonnoir et d’expérimentation alimentée par l’IA - tout en gérant les canaux qui génèrent déjà la croissance de l’entreprise.

La fourchette salariale prévue pour ce poste est de 115 000 $ à 130 000 $ CA par année.
