Captain – BlueBlood Steakhouse

BlueBlood Steakhouse is currently looking for experienced Captain.

Applicants should expect a highly systematic and deliberately paced fine-dining service, including table-side preparation and a strong focus on every detail of the guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist waiters in providing exceptional guest service.
• Prepare specialty menu items tableside for guests.
• Prepare tables for courses with proper mise en place.
• Run and deliver food items to the proper seat numbers with drop lines (descriptors).
• Reset tables and communicate with the host team.
• Prepare coffee service items, including lattes, cappuccinos, etc.
• Work as part of a team with the dining room Captains to exceed our guests’ expectations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Captain experience; fat pace fine-dining experience is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of food and dining service.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Must be Smart Serve certified.
• Positive, high-energy attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as the restaurant is open daily.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
