Site Description:

Day & Ross is a leading Canadian transportation and logistics company with operations across North America. The Windsor facility serves as a key hub for freight movement, supporting the storage, distribution, and transportation of goods through a fast-paced supply chain and trucking environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of the client and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach 
• Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the city’s diverse community. 
• Assist visitors, and employee during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed 
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly 
• Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns. 
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the public 
• Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources. 
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries 
• Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person 
• Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required. 
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the city 

Prerequisites:   

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario   
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider  
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must   
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)   
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position   
• Legally authorized to work in Canada 

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
