Overview
The Lead Business Consultant specializes in IBOR (Investment Book of Records) and leads full‑time implementation projects for SimCorp Dimension®, delivering solutions for investment operations at banks, asset managers, and insurers. The role requires deep expertise in IBOR functions and collaboration with clients and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for major parts of SimCorp Dimension® implementation projects, understanding customer requirements and processes related to investment operations.
- Close cooperation with the project manager and a key role in developing projects to success.
- Gain understanding of SimCorp’s Global Standard Solutions and utilize them for project delivery.
- Act as key contact for customers for all questions related to SimCorp Dimension®.
- Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job.
- Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects.
- Actively participate in know‑how exchange with colleagues at an international level.
- Act as a sparring partner for clients, effectively monitoring, coordinating, and escalating issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Implementation Consultant for asset managers, asset owners, banks, or consulting firms.
- Excellent know‑how in at least two of the following areas: Asset Management – Back Office, Financial Reporting, Consulting within the Asset Management sector, implementation role for a software vendor specializing in Asset Management software.
- 3–5 years of experience working hands‑on with investment operations functions and related enterprise applications.
- Experience with multiple enterprise implementations involving IBOR functions on the buy side and hands‑on experience with applications similar to SimCorp Dimension.
- Experience with trade processing, including confirmation and/or trade settlement processes and solutions (plus).
- Degree within Business discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics) or Mathematics/Applied Sciences preferred.
- Self‑starter with a can‑do mindset, able to manage assigned tasks and deliver results on time.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English – both oral and written.
- Basic understanding of financial industry products and related accounting.
- Hands‑on experience with SimCorp Dimension is a plus.
- Ability to travel to client sites (up to 50%).
- Ability to attend the SimCorp office 2×week as per hybrid policy.
