Role Description
Role DescriptionThe Bookkeeper & Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping functions of the company while providing operational support as required. The primary focus of this role is maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, recording expenses, assisting with payroll, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting.
As part of a collaborative, cross-trained team, this role will also provide operational and administrative support when needed to help ensure business continuity during periods of increased workload, vacations, or employee absences. This may include assisting with administrative tasks, coordinating internal processes, responding to customer service inquiries, and supporting other departments as required.
The Bookkeeper & Operations Coordinator will work closely with internal team members and external partners to ensure accurate financial reporting, efficient operations, and timely communication. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, discretion when handling confidential financial information, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing effectively as part of a small, high-performing team.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to manage bookkeeping tasks, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with team members, vendors, and customers.
- Candidates should possess Administrative Assistance skills to manage documentation, data entry, and general office coordination.
- Relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or operations coordination, preferably in consumer goods or health and fitness industries.
- Proficiency with quickbooks accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, cloud-based collaboration platforms).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, or a related field is an asset.
