We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.

About This Role

The Product Owner is a product delivery team’s key stakeholder. This person is responsible for having a vision for what should be built, in order to accomplish business and user needs, and be able to convey that vision to the delivery team. The Product Owner does this through working cross-functionally with the delivery teams, to carry the strategic roadmap through to the product backlog, which manifests as a prioritized list of features and experiments.

What You’ll Do

Drive Product Insights & Impact

  • Build dashboards and leverage data to identify opportunities and measure the success of initiatives.
  • Define, own, and improve key product metrics.
  • Translate business problems into actionable product opportunities.

Understand Users & Problems

  • Conduct customer interviews and research to deeply understand user needs.
  • Identify root problems before proposing solutions.
  • Partner with Design to validate ideas and improve user experience.

Own Product Execution

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog aligned with business goals.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories to enable efficient development.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to refine requirements and ensure smooth delivery.
  • Sign off on implemented features, ensuring quality and alignment with expectations.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

  • Work closely with Product Managers to align priorities and roadmap.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, and stakeholders to deliver impactful features.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third parties for integrations and dependencies.

Communicate & Influence

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress effectively.
  • Clearly articulate the “why” behind product decisions using data.
  • Proactively identify overlaps, risks, and opportunities across initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Core Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Product, Analytics, or related roles within software, fintech, or digital products.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience building dashboards and working with tools such as Amplitude, Segment, Branch, Iterable, or similar.
  • Understanding of event tracking, data structures, and analytics taxonomies.

Product Thinking

  • Ability to break down complex problems and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong understanding of user experience, product lifecycle, and delivery processes.
  • Experience shipping digital products and understanding what drives product success.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working asynchronously and documenting decisions clearly.

  • Curious, resourceful, and proactive—someone who takes ownership.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making informed decisions.
  • Passionate about understanding user behavior and improving products.
