Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Responsibility:

Current and Valid Nova Scotia Practical Nurse License

We are hiring for a Full time day and night LPN. Responsible for 4 participants in one small option home. You would be working along side another employee so would not be on shift working alone.

Qualifications

Current and Valid Nova Scotia Practical Nurse License

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Good knowledge of community resources

Demonstrated commitment to a Continuous Quality Improvement Philosophy.

Possess all provincially required training certifications. Willingness to complete additional training as required.

Previous training and experience working effectively with medically fragile persons with Cerebral Palsy, mobility impairments, cognitive deficits, major mental illness, seizure disorders and profound developmental delays an asset.

Previous training, experience, and ability to complete personal care including lifts and transfers required.

Previous experience providing support to clients requiring G-tube feeds, respiratory and oxygen therapy an asset.

Vulnerable sectors check and Criminal record check required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $28.32 per hour
