Manager, Operational Resilience

Join our Operational Resilience team and play a critical role in safeguarding the bank’s most critical products and services during times of disruption. As the Operational Resilience Manager, you will design and execute severe yet plausible scenario exercises to assess the bank’s ability to withstand crisis events—ensuring we can continue to serve our customers when it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and mature BMO’s Operational Resilience program.
- Work closely with stakeholders across first and second lines to conduct scenario exercises and assess the organization’s ability to continue operating during incidents.
- Facilitate oversight and challenge activities, conduct scenario testing exercises, and assess compliance with the Operational Resilience framework.
- Leverage regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends to provide insights and recommendations that enhance the bank’s resilience posture.
- Maintain and evolve the Operational Resilience Framework, identifying opportunities through scenario testing and executing roadmap deliverables.
- Contribute to the design of governance and control requirements for products, processes, and channels, and support effective compliance with regulatory obligations.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in operational resilience, stress or scenario testing, or related risk disciplines.
- Experience with Business Continuity, Incident & Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery, Technology Resilience, Cyber Security, and supplier/vendor management.
- Strong understanding of operational resilience regulatory requirements, frameworks, and risk management.
- Ability to produce concise, polished presentations and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Post‑secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $69,000.00 – $129,000.00 per year (salaried). Total compensation may include performance‑based incentives and commissions for part‑time roles.
Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
Work arrangement: Hybrid; 3 days per week in the downtown (Bay/King) office.
