Shoal Lake Veterinary Clinic Receptionist

Job Responsibility:

Job Overview Virden Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at our satellite clinic. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival at the clinic.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient flow of clients throughout the day.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
• Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians as needed, including preparing examination rooms and handling laboratory samples.
• Provide information on pet health care products and services offered by the clinic.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards both clients and animals.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
• A passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
