Become a Principal Engineer at EPE, focusing on energy resources and power system modeling while working remotely. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, essential for shaping energy's future. As part of the Energy Resources team, you will support client projects and grow organizational capabilities through mentoring and education. Your responsibilities will include conducting EMT studies, developing and optimizing power system models, and ensuring alignment with compliance requirements. You will also lead project management efforts for successful implementation. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute EMT power system studies on multiple scenarios
- Develop generator/load models and handle PSCAD & PSSE tasks
- Perform steady state studies like short circuit and load flow
- Collaborate with clients on generation and load projects
- Teach and guide junior Power Systems Engineers
- Minimum of 8 years in power systems modeling
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Familiarity with power system software like ETAP
- Experience with generation system dynamics is valued
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards
