Forces armées canadiennes (FAC), vous exploiterez et entretiendrez les systèmes propulsifs et
auxiliaires responsables du bon fonctionnement des navires et des sous-marins.
Ce poste est offert à temps plein ou à temps partiel, ou dans le cadre de notre programme d’études payées.

Aperçu
Les principales responsabilités des technicien·ne·s en mécanique des systèmes marins sont les suivantes:
- Lire et interpréter des croquis et des dessins de génie, y compris des schémas mécaniques, hydrauliques, pneumatiques et de fluides
- Calculer la stabilité du navire et identifient les problèmes potentiels
- Fabriquer, usiner et souder des pièces et de l’équipement
- Surveiller, exploiter et entretenir la machinerie mécanique pour les systèmes de propulsion, les systèmes de production et de distribution de l’énergie, les systèmes connexes, les systèmes auxiliaires et les systèmes de contrôle des avaries

Ce poste s'apparente aux métiers suivants :

Pour pouvoir vous enrôler dans les FAC, vous devez :
- posséder la citoyenneté canadienne ou être résident permanent vivant au Canada;
- avoir au moins 18 ans (17 ans avec le consentement parental) sauf pour :
- les programmes d’études subventionnées – avoir au moins 16 ans (avec le consentement des parents);
- la Première réserve – avoir au moins 16 ans (avec le consentement des parents) et être aux études à temps plein;
- avoir terminé sa 10 année ou son 4 secondaire au Québec (certains postes demandent un niveau d’éducation plus élevé).
Études requises
La scolarité minimale requise pour postuler à ce poste est d’avoir complété les exigences provinciales de 10e année, y compris les mathématiques appliquées de 10e année et les sciences appliquées de 10e année.
