Job Description
The Structural Steel Detailer plays a critical role in preparing precise and accurate detailing drawings and 3D models for a variety of structural steel projects. Working within a medium-sized team, this role focuses on ensuring material specifications and project coordination meet quality standards without requiring site visits. The detailer collaborates closely with fabrication and engineering teams to support successful project execution across multiple project types.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural steel drawings and 3D models
- Specify materials accurately to meet project requirements
- Coordinate among engineering, fabrication, and construction teams
- Ensure quality assurance through detailed reviews and checks
- Collaborate effectively with team members to resolve design issues
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in structural steel detailing
- Associate's degree in Drafting or related field
- Proficiency with Tekla Structures software
- Strong structural drawing interpretation skills
- Expertise in blueprint reading
- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving abilities
