Business Partner in Work Design

Become a key driver of organizational design at Interior Health as a full-time Business Partner, focusing on workforce practices. This role influences how teams evolve within a flexible British Columbia setting. The Business Partner in Work Design & Classification offers expertise in organizational structure and classifications. With a focus on job evaluation and contract interpretations, you’ll consult with managers to develop job descriptions and negotiate resolutions to classification issues. You will also influence policies and procedures that support fair workplace practices and ensure compliance with collective agreements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on organizational design initiatives
  • Develop and revise job descriptions based on established protocols
  • Investigate and recommend solutions for classification grievances
  • Represent IH on provincial compensation committees
  • Maintain an electronic classification database for HR use
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5-7 years' experience in a multi-union healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making
