Dubai, United Kingdom and Ireland.JOB OVERVIEWAs Commodity Manager – CFM56 Engine Components, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing FTAI Aviation’s global material strategy for a portfolio of CFM56 engine components across our MRE and Module Factory programs. This highly visible role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and key global suppliers to ensure material availability, cost competitiveness, and supply chain resilience across North America and Europe.Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, you will lead end-to-end commodity strategy, from demand planning and sourcing to supplier development, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation, while directly influencing cost, availability, and operational performance across the business.Responsibilities:Strategic Commodity LeadershipDevelop, own, and execute comprehensive commodity management strategies aligned with business objectives, including material availability, cost reduction, and price-increase mitigationLead the creation and execution of commodity playbooks, including sourcing strategies, supplier development plans, and long-term supply modelsMonitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and industry trends to proactively adjust strategies and minimize total material cost while ensuring capacity and qualitySupply Chain & Demand IntegrationPartner closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams using advanced Demand Planning tools (Palantir) to assess demand, balance constraints, and optimize material flowCollaborate with Distribution, Procurement, and Repair Management to reallocate inventory and adjust commodity plans in response to changing demandEnsure data integrity and governance of commodity and supply chain parameters within planning systemsServe as the primary point of contact for assigned commodities and key suppliersLead and support RFQs, perform detailed bid analyses, build robust business cases, and conduct complex commercial negotiationsManage supplier agreements, ensure compliance, and drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and reliabilityBuild strong, collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers to enable innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term alignmentCross-Functional ImpactWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Asset Management, Program Management, and Operational Supply Chain to support new program introductions and supplier strategiesIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, lead recovery plans, and support critical material challengesDrive or contribute to high-impact special projects with suppliers and internal teamsParticipate in global sourcing initiatives, sharing best practices across commodities and regionsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5-8+ years of experience in engine commodities, aerospace supply chain management, or a related roleStrong technical understanding of engine maintenance, CFM56 products, and aerospace supply chainsExcellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex variables, perform root‑cause analysis, and balance short‑term execution with long‑term strategyProven negotiation skills and experience managing RFQs and supplier agreementsStrong business acumen with the ability to influence across functions and geographiesHighly collaborative communicator with excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skillsComfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with changing prioritiesOccasional travel may be required to support global operations and suppliers.What we offer you:Competitive compensationTime to recharge with vacation, personal days, holidays, and parental leavesComprehensive Family Medical, Dental and Vision coverage available on your first day of employmentVirtual Health Care (24/7 access to medical professionals)A Wellness Spending Account to aid in your wellness journeyEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) which includes free face to face counselling sessionsMedical Travel InsuranceOnsite fitness facilities at our main office locationsA Registered Retirement Savings Plan that includes matching company contributions on your first day of employment, that also includes access to Financial Advisors providing investment advice and comprehensive financial planningEqual Opportunity Statement:FTAI Aviation is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in the workplace.
