Remote NSBE Sponsorship Lead 2025/2026

Introduction:

NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) is a non-profit organization with over 16,000 members in 500 active chapters all over the world. NSBE's mission is to 'increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.' Within the Queen's University NSBE Chapter, we plan on achieving this goal by offering opportunities for mentorship, academic support, and professional development. We're looking to hire a team of motivated and passionate students for our exec team to help us accomplish this goal.

Role Description:

As Sponsorship Lead, you’ll play a key role in building and sustaining relationships with corporate partners to support NSBE Queen’s mission. You’ll lead outreach efforts, secure sponsorships, and collaborate with industry stakeholders to provide funding, resources, and opportunities for our members.

Main Responsibilities:

- Identify and reach out to potential sponsors and partners

- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing sponsors

- Develop and update sponsorship packages and proposals

- Coordinate sponsor-related events such as panels, networking sessions, and info nights

- Collaborate with the Finance and Events teams to align sponsorships with chapter needs

Must Have Qualities:

- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Effective written, and oral communication skills.

- Effective time-management skills.

Nice To Have Qualities:

- Strong communication and professional networking skills

- Experience in corporate relations, fundraising, or business development

- Confidence in pitching ideas and representing NSBE in external communications

Additional Information:

The expected time commitment of the NSBE exec team varies by role, but is expected to be 1-3 hours a week. This includes meetings, events, and club communications.
