This role focuses on contracts and construction law, offering substantial guidance across business units and requires some travel. As a Corporate Counsel with a minimum of five years’ experience, you will deliver day-to-day legal support involving contracts and construction law matters. You will collaborate with a team of attorneys to analyze legal documents, assess risks, and provide commercial legal advice to business partners across Canada. This dynamic role requires a law degree and a keen understanding of industry best practices. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on contracts and construction law issues
• Conduct risk assessments for various legal matters
• Analyze and summarize complex contracts and business transactions
• Manage litigation and corporate disclosures
• Deliver legal training on ethics and compliance Requirements:
• JD degree or LLB with Law Society of Alberta membership
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction law
• Strong negotiation skills with detailed legal knowledge
• Excellent communication abilities
