Food DC management experience is a MUST.

Our client is a well-established leader in the food industry, temperature-controlled Food / CPG industry and have an existing job open for Director of Operations / General Manager for highly automated temperature-controlled Distribution Centre / Fulfillment Centre / DC/ Warehouse. The role is fully responsible for the Operating Costs, Budgets, P&L, Productivity, Operational Efficiency, Inventory and people leadership. This is a Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement role with hands-on leadership of the daily operations. Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Automation and managing temperature-controlled HACCP, FDA approved food grade buildings is a MUST. This requires 5 days on site.

Director of Operations / General Manager – Food Distribution Centre (Temperature Controlled) will be fully responsible for overseeing people leaders of the DC operations pick pack, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory, HACCP, GMP, Health Canada, FDA compliance, Food Safety and HR. You will manage budgets for labour, capital, maintenance and automation and work closely with inbound / outbound teams for flawless operational efficiencies.

Director of Operations / General Manager – Food Distribution Centre (Temperature Controlled) will have a minimum of 8-10 years in the food industry (MUST have) ideally in highly automated high-speed process packaging pick-pack fulfillment, e-commerce order pick and similar. Budgets, Operating cost management, P&L experience is a MUST. Continuous Improvement projects in Warehousing and Distribution (floor mapping, process mapping capacity planning), lean six sigma and similar is a MUST. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; courses in P. Log, CITT, CCLP or similar with excellent English communication skills.
