Pay Details

$59,500 - $84,000 CAD. TD is committed to fair and equitable compensation. The base pay may vary based on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge, geographic location, and other business needs.

Responsibilities

Customer

  • Develop new components for engineering programs and projects.
  • Support business enquiries and activities through small enhancements and break/fix implementations.
  • Work with technology partners to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
  • Analyze technical requirements to recommend pragmatic engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering solutions with technical direction, performance, and time‑to‑market goals.
  • Monitor product lifecycles, ensuring specifications support business objectives; undertake re‑development when required.
  • Document and verify system components, applications, infrastructure, security, integration, operability, and related architecture designs.
  • Participate in quality management reviews, ensuring designs, prototypes, and other deliverables fulfill requirements.
  • Develop as‑built program activities, establishing necessary details using configuration management processes.
  • Create and maintain quality code, ensuring defect‑free programming consistent with standards; provide maintenance during testing cycles.
  • Provide technical expertise during incident management, analyze incident reports and outages, perform impact assessment, and facilitate communication throughout resolution.
  • Identify and recommend development/test solutions or tools to support project and application objectives.

Shareholder

  • Adhere to security coding practices to mitigate common vulnerabilities.
  • Document technical decisions, risks, and lessons learned; implement enhancements accordingly.
  • Ensure understanding of relationships between work processes and business, including cost awareness.
  • Deliver solutions that meet project milestones and deliverables on time, within budget, and according to standards.
  • Follow enterprise technology delivery practices, including creating project documentation of requirements, scope estimates, and cost.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in the functional area.
  • Protect organizational interests by managing risks and escalating non‑standard, high‑risk activities.
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control aligned with risk appetite.

Breadth & Depth

  • Basic knowledge of domain or engineering frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform low‑ to moderately complex technical tasks under general supervision.
  • Foundational knowledge of TD applications, systems, networks, innovation, design best practices, and business standards.
  • Execute program specifications, integrating, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
  • Use existing procedures to solve routine problems, making limited exceptions.
  • Report primarily to a practice lead.

Experience and Education

  • Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate.
  • Strong academic background in computer science, engineering, or related field.
