The Ministry of Justice is seeking a skilled, responsible and confident Administrative Support professional for the Public Prosecutions office in Yorkton. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with colleagues, the public, police, witnesses and accused persons, often involving sensitive information. The successful candidate must be able to remain calm and courteous when assisting individuals who may be stressed, upset or confused. Required knowledge and skills include office administrative procedures, filing systems, legal terminology, criminal court processes and legal document administration. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database software is essential, along with the ability to manage information accurately and efficiently. Candidates should demonstrate accountability, innovation, collaboration, adaptability and inclusiveness. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed at least one year of Office Administration training, particularly in Legal Administration or Court Administration. Responsibilities include maintaining prosecution files received from police agencies and RCMP detachments, preparing legal documents and correspondence, responding to inquiries, updating and archiving records, referencing applicable policies and procedures, and supporting daily office operations.
