Employee Relations Coordinator - Labour Relations

Reporting to the Human Resources and Labour Relations Manager for the Montreal region, the Employee Relations Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating labour relations support within the region. In this role, the coordinator serves as a key resource to the HR team, providing support in labour relations management, disciplinary investigations, and case documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate union release requests and ensure compliance with the collective agreement.
• Receive, review, and document grievances filed by the union.

• Support HR Advisors during investigation meetings.
• Act as the designated recipient for workplace harassment and violence complaints.

• Maintain and document disciplinary files.
• Review and document absence justifications for unionized employees.

Education, Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a unionized environment, preferably within a federally regulated industry.
• Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
