The Role

Are you passionate about education, innovation and improving patient outcomes within specialist neurological services? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced and motivated Neurology Clinical Educator to lead and support practice development, staff education and quality improvement initiatives across Neurology services. Working alongside Lead Nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will play a key role in developing specialist knowledge, supporting lifelong learning and ensuring care is delivered in line with the latest evidence and best practice. This is an exciting opportunity to influence education and service development on a wider scale while making a meaningful difference to patients, families and staff. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
• Monday to Friday (Please note that this may alter if expert support is required in clinical areas)
• Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support staff education, practice development and quality improvement initiatives within Neurology services
• Develop, deliver and evaluate specialist education programmes and competency frameworks for clinical staff
• Promote and embed evidence-based practice to enhance patient safety, quality of care and service improvement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and specialist centres to develop learning opportunities and share best practice
• Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, policies and patient information resources
• Facilitate clinical audit, education evaluation and governance activities to drive continuous improvement
• Provide expert advice, coaching and support to staff, learners and healthcare professionals across Neurology services

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Educated to degree level with evidence of ongoing professional development
• Significant post-registration experience within Neurology or Neurosciences including substantial senior level experience
• Experience of teaching, facilitating learning and supporting staff development in a clinical environment
• Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating education and training programmes
• Excellent communication, organisational, presentation and time management skills with the ability to influence and engage others
• Strong IT skills with experience of partnership working, quality improvement and evidence-based practice development
