Casual Clerk Receptionist

Job Responsibility: General Information:

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for a casual Clerk Receptionist opportunity in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Manager, Cowichan Lake Recreation and supervised by the Secretary III, the Clerk Receptionist provides customer service to the public and performs a variety of reception, clerical, cash handling and administrative duties and tasks for Cowichan Lake Recreation.

Qualifications:

• Secondary school graduation plus successful completion of a clerical / secretarial training program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• One (1) year of practical experience in an administrative or clerical environment, preferably in a local government recreational facility setting.
• First Aid Level I with CPR
• Class 5 BC Driver's License

The successful candidate must be available to work a flexible variety of shifts including weekdays and weekends. Salary: This non-union position has a wage range in three steps $27.47 - $28.68 - $29.90 per hour (2024 wage rates), plus an additional 17.2% pay in lieu of vacation, benefits and stat holidays.
