Director of Education at Sylvan Learning

Lead educational excellence at Sylvan Learning as the Director of Education. Ensure high-quality instructional experiences while fostering strong connections with students and families. As the Director of Education, you will oversee the delivery of impactful education programs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with teachers and families. This role requires a passion for teaching, effective communication skills, and the ability to coach and inspire staff. You'll facilitate student assessments and teach in a 3:1 setting as necessary, ensuring the educational needs of Sylvan families are prioritized. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Centre Director with assessments and lesson updates
• Teach Sylvan curriculum to students in small groups
• Manage conference activities and communicate with parents
• Ensure certification and performance of teaching staff
• Conduct regular parent conferences and maintain school contacts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
• 1-2 years teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of BC educational curriculum
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility and reliable transportation required
