Experienced Nanny / Housekeeper (Live-In or Live-Out)

We are a warm and busy family seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive nanny (live-in or live-out) to help care for our two wonderful daughters, ages 2 and 4, while also assisting with the smooth day-to-day management of our household. The primary responsibility will be caring for our 2-year-old during the day and supporting our 4-year-old by helping with preschool drop-off and pick-up. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, is reliable, takes pride in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment, and is comfortable taking initiative to help keep a busy household running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, energetic, organized, and able to balance both childcare and household responsibilities. Childcare responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for our children throughout the day
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities and outings, such as: StrongStart programs, Family Place, Community centres, Parks, playgrounds, and other local attractions
• Ensure daily outdoor play and physical activity, regardless of weather
• Support children's development through play, learning, creativity, and social interaction
• Prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for the children
• Transport our 4-year-old to and from preschool

Household responsibilities:

• Prepare family dinners
• Grocery shopping and household errands as needed
• Laundry and organization of children's belongings
• General tidying and upkeep of common living spaces
• House cleaning
• Take initiative in identifying and completing household tasks without constant direction

Hours:

• Full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week)
• Typical hours: 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Occasional additional hours may be required

Qualifications:

• Previous professional nanny experience
• Strong references
• Valid BC driver's licence and clean driving record
• Eligible to work in Canada (sponsorship may be available for the right candidate)
• Fluent in English or French
• Comfortable caring for children when they are ill, as both parents have demanding professional careers and limited flexibility for daytime coverage
• Highly dependable, organized, and self-motivated
• Comfortable managing both childcare and household responsibilities
