Join Surrey Schools as an Associate Director, focusing on employee health and safety for a transformative year. This role demands strong leadership in health services and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer to implement strategies enhancing employee well-being and safety. This position requires at least ten years of progressive leadership in a health and safety context, ideally within the public sector. Your collaborative efforts with unions and other stakeholders will be pivotal in cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of safety programs
- Advise on disability management and compliance matters
- Foster collaboration among stakeholders and senior leaders
- Oversee the health services team’s goal-setting and development
- Monitor and enhance workplace safety measures
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health or similar
- Ten years in leadership within health services
- Health and safety certification preferred
- Proven teamwork and communication skills
- Drive for organizational excellence amid complexity
