Assembly Supervisor - Production Department

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Report to the Manufacturing Manager
• Supervise the operations of the Assembly Department
• Ensure employees are aware of all safety requirements and instructs them in the Health & Safety Program
• Prepare work schedules, makes work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
• Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards
• Maintain ISO-9001 Standards as they relate to manufacturing
• Attend weekly production meetings and reports on work in progress
• Provide labour estimates for manufacturing
• Responsible for the hiring or termination of all personnel in the machine shop

WHO YOU ARE:

• Experience within specific skilled trade manufacturing heavy equipment with leadership responsibilities
• Certified Millwright, Mechanic and/or equivalent training/experience
• Effective leadership and team-building skills
• Solid technical understanding of the equipment being manufactured
• Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action
• Able to work overtime
