About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux / Unix Infrastructure Engineer to join a global Agile team supporting a large-scale enterprise environment of over 2,500+ servers . This is an exciting long-term contract opportunity for an infrastructure professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys driving automation, reliability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced Linux/Unix operational support and infrastructure project delivery.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash, Ansible, Puppet, and APIs.
- Participate in Follow-the-Sun support across Europe and Asia.
- Manage incidents, changes, and requests in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
- Support high-availability, mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture, modernization, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) expert-level experience
- Strong Python, Bash, Ansible & Puppet scripting and automation skills
- Experience with API integrations and infrastructure tooling
- Monitoring & Observability (Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.)
- Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) and LDAP integration
- SAN, Fibre Channel, LVM, Multipathing, XFS/ext4
- Backup, Disaster Recovery & Vulnerability Management
- Enterprise Hardware (Dell/HP Servers)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Production Support Experience
