Purpose:

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, lead multidisciplinary engineering activities, and work closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions that meet regulatory, quality, schedule, and cost requirements. Experience supporting Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and/or Bruce Power projects is essential. Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, review, and delivery of electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering designs, studies, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for nuclear projects.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and designers while supporting the development of team capability and technical excellence.
• Act as a discipline lead on projects, ensuring engineering deliverables are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical issues and support successful project delivery.
• Support project planning activities including scope definition, estimating, scheduling, progress tracking, and resource planning.
• Lead and participate in design reviews, technical assessments, risk evaluations, and quality verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear regulations, client requirements, engineering standards, and Worley quality processes.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, testing, and field implementation activities as required.
• Identify risks and opportunities, develop practical engineering solutions, and support effective project decision-making.
• Participate in client meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder engagements while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the advancement of engineering practices, digital tools, and innovative solutions.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Extensive experience delivering electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering solutions within the nuclear industry.
• Demonstrated experience supporting projects for Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and/or Bruce Power.
• Strong understanding of Canadian nuclear codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience leading engineering teams, coordinating multidisciplinary activities, and supporting the successful execution of complex projects.
• Ability to develop and review engineering deliverables, including design documentation, control system architecture, calculations, specifications, drawings, engineering packages, and technical reports.
• Experience with industrial control systems, instrumentation systems, electrical systems, DCS, PLC, automation, and plant modifications.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across project teams and clients.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting field activities, construction, testing, commissioning, or plant operations is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with digital engineering tools, data-driven solutions, automation technologies, and modern engineering software platforms is considered an asset.
• Direct experience supporting Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and/or Bruce Power projects.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to Canadian nuclear facilities.
• Strong knowledge of applicable nuclear regulations, standards, and engineering quality requirements.
• Ability to travel to client and project sites as required.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering experience, including significant experience in the nuclear industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering activities on nuclear projects of varying size and complexity.

For applicants based in the province of Ontario, the salary range is $122,879 to $144,563 CAD. Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
