mode40 makes software for running an operation, from Steinbach, Manitoba. The Singularity is one platform that pulls an operation's data into a single working model, with AI on top of it that knows how the place actually runs. Our customers are manufacturers, food and beverage producers and aerospace suppliers. One of them runs 19 facilities on a single installation.
Location and how we work
This role is based in Steinbach or remote anywhere in Canada, with regular travel to customer sites. mode40 is remote-first, with an office in Steinbach for the people who want one. Everyone here has access to everyone from day one: if you need the CEO, you talk to the CEO rather than waiting for a meeting invite.
What you will do
- Own delivery for a set of customers, including timeline, scope and the number we promised
- Run the assessment that opens every engagement: find the data, prove the gap, put a number on it
- Stay on after go-live and keep hunting the next improvement
- Be the person the customer calls, and the person who tells them the truth
What we are looking for
- You have run or led operations in a plant, or delivered systems into one
- Comfortable owning a commitment with a dollar figure attached to it
- You are calm when a deployment week goes sideways, because it will
- Willing to travel to customer sites regularly
What we offer
We are a small team and the list is short and real, rather than a page of things nobody uses.
- mode40 days: earned Fridays through July and August, plus a stretch at the end of December
- $1,000 a year for whatever makes your setup work properly
- Remote-first, with an office in Steinbach if you want it
- A welcome package at the start and an annual credit at the apparel store
- No annual reviews. Feedback happens continuously, in both directions
