Social Media Content Specialist (Polygon)

This is a paid freelance, remote position.
We're looking for a Social Media Content Specialist to join the Polygon team. This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, thrives in a high-volume content environment, and knows how to transform editorial content into engaging social-first experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and optimize engaging content tailored for social media platforms
- Monitor and manage social channels, ensuring timely and relevant posting
- Ideate and execute original entertainment content for social audiences
- Manage content uploads across platforms, including Emaki and native social tools
- Adapt written editorial stories into compelling video content for social distribution
- Collaborate with the Social and editorial teams to streamline content posting and adapt quickly to news updates
Requirements
- Strong video editing skills with an eye for platform-specific trends
- 2-5 years of experience
- Solid understanding of audience data and performance analytics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly creative with a strong sense of what performs on social media
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity and content creation
