Territory Sales Manager - Western Canada

Territory Sales Manager, Western Canada (Calgary)

This role is based in Calgary and covers southern Alberta, southern Saskatchewan, and eastern Kootenays in British Columbia, requiring 50% travel and 20% overnight stays. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand ROCKWOOL’s presence as a major supplier of insulation to commercial and residential markets.
  • Increase demand and solicit orders for products while staying aware of local competitive conditions.
  • Conduct demonstrations and product knowledge sessions with distributors, box store staff, LBM staff, specialty distributors, installers, general contractors, and builders.
  • Drive profitable growth within the assigned sales region.
  • Assume full responsibility for sales volume, revenue, and margin targets in the region.
  • Cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead project tracking with the Specification Manager and execute a pull‑through strategy.
  • Conduct strategic account planning sessions with key customers.
  • Analyze the market to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan aimed at achieving goals and review quarterly.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Provide analytics to effectively drive growth and support internal reporting needs.
  • Utilize all digital tools, including CRM, to track 100% of activity.
  • Facilitate customer meetings with the Regional Sales Manager.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of success in a building materials sales role.
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential building technology or construction.
  • Knowledge of the insulation market and strong negotiating skills.
  • Good territory management skills.
  • High drive, commitment, energy, and integrity.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Technical or business education, preferably at university level.
  • Good leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and CRM software.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.

Benefits

Base salary range: $90,000 to $100,000, determined by location, experience, and market comparables. The position is bonus eligible.
