Lead nuclear project engineering from Aecon’s Cambridge office, applying EPC expertise and CANDU knowledge across Ontario Power Generation projects.This Project Engineer serves as technical project manager for sublet design and procurement engineering scopes. The work spans proposal development, design execution, construction support, commissioning, and closeout for nuclear life cycle activities. Candidates should bring Professional Engineer status, OPG project experience, and strong knowledge of industry codes and standards.Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate sublet design and procurement engineering scopesReview customer specifications, design documents, and DSP productsLead engineering interfaces with customers and design service providersSupport construction changes, commissioning, and system turnoverResolve engineered equipment design and performance deficienciesRequirements:
Professional Engineer with ideally eight to ten years’ experienceDetailed knowledge of OPG’s ECC processWorking knowledge of CANDU plant systems and componentsKnowledge of CSA N28, Nuclear N299, and ASME codesExperience procuring nuclear-class components and systemsApply nuclear engineering, procurement, design review, and construction coordination expertise to Aecon’s OPG programs.
