Halfway Hut Cook

Job Responsibility:

Located in scenic Ben Eoin, Nova Scotia our beautiful resort offers lush accommodations surrounded by four seasons of activity. World-class golf, sailing, skiing, beaches and hiking are all at your fingertips when you stay at the Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club & Resort.

The Halfway Hut Cook will be working at the halfway hut (Route Fore!) will attend to guest needs while providing excellent food & beverage services professionally and pleasantly.

• Demonstrate effective communication skills with both co-workers & guests
• Maintaining a clean & safe working environment
• Adhering properly to grooming/uniform policies
• Willingness & ability to adapt and adjust
• Capable of working all mornings, evenings & weekends
• Demonstrate effective upselling and suggestive techniques
• Accurately processing cash & card transactions
• Cook basic food for the guests
• Cash balancing & deposits
• Completion of daily checklists
• Proper completion of daily Inventory
• Accurate discounting of product
• Accurately completing food wastage and food service sheets
• Monitoring & adjusting of sound and lighting levels
• serving of guests
• Preparing of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages for bar and guests
• Completion of timesheets for bi-weekly payroll
• Preparation of coffee & tea
• Stocking

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Capable of handling customer complaints effectively
• Ability to carry up to 30lbs
