Senior Risk & Compliance Officer
Location: Peru/On-site
Job Type: Full-time
Reporting to: Chief Risk Officer (CRO) / Legal & Compliance Director
We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk & Compliance Officer to lead internal compliance and risk management for our financial payment services. This role will ensure that our operations adhere to international and local regulations, enhance risk control systems, mitigate compliance risks, and support the stable growth of our global payment business.
Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and refine compliance policies to ensure payment services comply with international regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, CFT, etc.).
- Risk Assessment: Identify, analyze, and assess compliance and operational risks in financial payment services, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Regulatory Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with global and local regulatory authorities to ensure compliance across different jurisdictions.
- AML & KYC Supervision: Oversee and optimize AML/KYC processes, ensuring the effectiveness of customer identity verification and transaction monitoring systems.
- Internal Audits & Training: Develop internal audit plans, regularly assess risk and compliance frameworks, and provide compliance training to employees.
- Transaction Monitoring: Implement and refine transaction monitoring mechanisms to detect suspicious activities and develop corresponding response strategies.
- Policy Updates: Stay updated on global compliance trends (FATF, OFAC, GDPR, etc.) and ensure timely updates to the company’s risk and compliance policies.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with product, technology, operations, and legal teams to implement compliance requirements and maintain secure business operations.
Responsibilities
- 5+ years of experience in compliance and risk management within financial payment services, cross-border payments, or fintech.
- Deep understanding of global payment industry regulations, including AML, KYC, CFT, GDPR, and data security compliance.
- Experience in compliance audits, regulatory communication, or policy development is a plus.
- Strong expertise in risk control framework design and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify potential compliance risks and develop effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and execution capabilities.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication skills to drive compliance implementation in a complex business environment.
- Fluent in English (working language); proficiency in Chinese, Spanish, or Arabic is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (CAMS, CFE, CISA, CIPP/E, etc.).
- Experience in compliance or risk management within the Dubai or Middle East market.
- Familiarity with blockchain payments and digital currency compliance policies.
