What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Executive Chef responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Direct supervision of all stewarding employees and supervisors as well as training performance management scheduling and assigning of daily duties and long term projects
- Follow departmental policies procedures safety and service standards
- Consistently offering professional engaging and friendly service.
- Ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the outlet leaders to maintain adequate levels of china silver and glass par stock levels
- Reports any damaged or not working equipment to maintenance or proper contractor and follows up
- Conduct periodic inventories to ensure par stocks and resource availability are maintained determining degree of usage and identifying purchase or equipment requirements.
- Play an active role in the recruitment orientation and training of new employees
- Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.

Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- 4 years proven leadership and supervisory skills in a Food and Beverage operation
- Thorough knowledge of a large Stewarding Department
- Must be computer strong with a knowledge of Excel word electronic mail
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management a definite asset
- Must be results oriented very organized highly motivated and able to work under pressure
- Must be committed to and have a full understanding of the health and safety practices in the workplace
- Must be certified in WHMIS
